Beetlejuice fans will love this sequel, of course everyone loves Michael Keaton.  His vast film career includes comedy like Beetlejuice, Mr. Mom and Nightshift but most current movies fans know him from his roles as Batman in The DC Comic universe as well as Vulture in the Marvel Universe.   So Michael Keaton, in this Beetlejuice sequel serves as an origin story for our guy Beetlejuice  as we see a short subtitled sequence that depicts Monica Bellucci as his murderous bride .

But the plot of this film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice revolves around the character  of Lydia Deetz, played by Winona Ryder- please stop bringing up the shop lifting, you shady people- it happened years ago, Im a New Yorker so of course it was all over the news.- Anyway- Lydia, 36 years after the first film ended, is now a mother with a teenaged daughter who is in danger as she Is deceived by a handsome young man.  Beetlejiuce, believe it or not, is a hero.  The music is fantastic.  Danny Elfman always delivers great orchestration and you’ll hear the Beegees, Donna Summer and Richard Marx to name a few.  Some audience members  remarked that the music went on too long but they enjoyed the film.   Not too many laughs but so much fun.
