Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is a 2023 American science fiction feature film based on Hasbro's Transformers toy line.  Many  film fans remember the Japanese popular toys that depict cars and machines that would convert from cars, trucks and now animals to robots who then fight several wars on behalf of the earthlings and aliens from another universe.

Set in 1994 Brooklyn New York, a veteran and antique museum researcher embark on Indiana Jones and Laura Croft: Tomb-raider type adventure as the two unite with the robots called Transformers to save the earth and their native planet.  The children and nostalgic young adults, the viewing audience, enjoyed this film as was audibly evidenced by their vociferous reaction to the climactic battle of the robots, their passionate applause at the conclusion of the film and their apparent disappointment when they remained in their seats anticipating a second post credit scene.   Only to find out, there is only one mid credit scene as the film credits rolled on screen.

However, make no mistakes. Regardless of what any film critics say, the audience loved Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.  They loved seeing the established characters such as Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee as well as as the new and less well known characters  such as Mirage voiced by SNL alumni Pete Davidson,  Airazor played by the beautiful Oscar winning actress Michelle Yeoh and Scourge  played by the brilliant Peter Dinklage

The talented live action cast is under utilized as the film’s target audience is obviously young children who objectively yearn for the animated battles between the good robots and the bad robots.

The  veteran Noah is played by the handsome Anthony Ramos.  Many New York theater fans know him from the

Broadway musical Hamilton.  But movie fans have seen him the 2021 musical feature film In the Heights which earned him a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.

Noah, the main protagonist, is a down  on his luck unemployed veteran who emerges as a hero as he fights along side the Transformers lead by Optimus Prime. He lives with his younger brother Chris, played by Dean Scott Vazquez,  who steals every scene he is in because his is so adorably cute…
