There was nice well deserve tribute to Quincy Jones who has impacted several genres of music. Cynthia Erivo, Lainey Wilson and Jacob Collier and Stevie wonder sang while jazz legend Herbie Hancock accompanied them on the piano. Janell Monte stole the show and throughly rocked the house with her rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop to you Get Enough”. She even did the crouch grab, lol.

In the movies: The animated family friendly film Dreamworks Dogman came in at number one this weekend with an estimated gross of $36,000,000.00 but the Warner Bros. movie Companion, which came in at second place this weekend, and created the most buzz.
Companion is a science fiction film written and directed by Drew Hancock. It stars Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid as a couple on a weekend getaway with friends at a remote cabin,
Lukas Gage, Rupert Friend, Megan Suri do a fantastic job of ramping up the intrigue as twists and turns occur as the movie progresses. It’s an exciting R rated adult oriented film. However, it contains some dark subject matters and images-not for the squeamish.
